Cannot fault the staff or the centre, it was well run and clean.
The only feedback I would give is that as a referred Dudley patient, it would make life a lot easier if the pre-op tests were completed at Russells Hall under the weight management clinic there, it was a long round trip for 10/15min appointment.
Undergoing chemo, I had a monthly meeting in the RSH. At first I was disappointed that there wasnt a consistent nurse to undertake my review - it was a different person every time, and I really loved the first one! Most impressive - in my six visits there, I was never disappointed by the level of care I received. Excellent!
Ward 23 Oncology dept treated today by Staff Nurse Rachael. What a superb service. This nurse treats you with the utmost respect and care.
She was superb and showed she cared about all the patients on the ward and works tirelessly to make sure that everyone is treated well and made to feel as comfortable as possible.
Thank you so much I will value your kindness even though I kept telling you you were giving me pain when fitting a cannula (ain’t no gain with out some pain). Bit pain was bearable and probably caused by me as I kept flinching.
Well done Rachael
I was looked after very ell in the short time I was an in patient.
I was looked after very well on the surgical ward by a gentleman nurse and a hca called millie. They treated me with dignity and respect even when they are obviously under the pressure of staffing restraints. Millie gave me her time when I needed it and was very kind to me. She made a worrying time alot easier for me and my family. Thank you.
After my operation I was looked after in the elective care unit. I was looked after extremely well.
All the nurses were great and my doctor George Kirby was fantastic in every way, my care was poor by carers but all medical professionals were brilliant
All was good
I wasn’t allowed home until I was well enough and had everything in place to do so
My only suggestion would be related to the apparent lack of communication between medical staff, which if had been improved, may have avoided my readmission to hospital following the initial inpatient episode.
However, the nursing/health care staff on the ward cannot be faulted, also, the nurse providing wound care was incredibly helpful.
Staff were kind, caring and respectful at all times.
During my short stay at the Princess Royal hospital where I received surgery for a gastric sleeve I wish to say that the stuff were incredibly kind and and thorough meeting my needs at all times. Everybody who was on duty during my stay was friendly and receptive which helped in my early stage of recovery. You do a really great job each and every one of you despite being over stretched and short staffed due to increased Covid level's your commitment did not go unnoticed. Thankyou, all of you.
